CE/SSE Excursion 2025 to Berlin

10.07.2025

Berlin 2025 6a

From Friday, the 16th of May, to Sunday, the 18th of May, our annual student trip took place – this time we went to Germany‘s infamous capital Berlin again!

With a group of 35 people we went on a comfortable, though admittedly long, bus tour and arrived in Berlin around 4:30 pm. After everyone freshened themselves up a little, the rest of the day was used to explore the city: While some decided to visit the grand „Brandenburger Tor“, others took a look at the historical remains of the Berlin Wall. Berlin‘s huge offer of various restaurants and cafes was also a popular destination.

The next day started with a nice breakfast buffet at the hostel. With our bellies filled, we went on one of the trip‘s highlights - a guided boat tour on the Spree. Not only did we get to know more about the historic monuments along the Spree, but we even enjoyed a bit of sun! After spending time on the water, we were ready for more adventures, this time on land: Parts of our travel group visited Berlin‘s various museums or used their time to get to know more of Berlin‘s sights, such as the „Siegessäule“, while others spent their time on a nice shopping spree. After such an impressionable day, everyone was glad to get some rest before the last day of the trip.

As the last day, Sunday included the final highlight: A tour through Berlin‘s technical museum. In roughly two hours the group learned a lot about Germany‘s fascinating railway and aircraft history . Unfortunately, a weekend has only so much time, and the technical museum was our last, but very much enjoyed stop for the trip.

After the bus ride home, everyone was tired but also happy to have had such wonderful experiences in Berlin.  We thank all of you who have made the Berlin trip so special and hope to make more wonderful memories on our next trip together!
