We are pleased to welcome the first students of the Master's programme in Subsurface Engineering in Bochum. The start of the winter semester of 2023 also sees the launch of the new international Master's programme "Subsurface Engineering", which is offered in collaboration by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Faculty of Geosciences.

In the winter semester, the students complete the compulsory courses of the first semester together. At the start of the summer semester, they then decide on one of the two specialisations, "Geotechnics and Tunneling" or "Subsurface Characterization and Utilization".

We wish all students of the new Master's programme a good start to their studies.
